AIMS DPhil Student Kelsey Doerksen delivered a TEDx talk at the 15th annual Queens University TEDx event
On Saturday, January 18th, AIMS DPhil Student Kelsey Doerksen delivered a TEDx talk at the 15th annual Queens University TEDx event, titled "AI won't save us, but it can help us". Kelsey talk touched on the ethical implications of AI; highlighting the good, and not-so-good aspects of the tech, and empowering the audience to become conscious consumers of AI. While not all of us will be AI developers, all of us will be AI users; how much do you know about what data is used to train models, where labelled data comes from, how much energy these large-scale AI deployments use? The Queens University TEDx event is the largest TEDx in Canada!
