Ciprian Antaloae Seminar

AIMS Seminar - Friday 4th February 2022

Application of time series predictions for driving at the Nürburgring – current results and challenges

Abstract: Recent high performance vehicle projects at the Hyundai R&D Centre in Germany include the electric TCR (touring car racing) and the RM20e (racing-midship number 20 – electric). Both of these have a peak power of more than 700 horse-power which we want to use around the track in the best way possible. In order to achieve this, one of the questions we want to explore is if & how can AI help us with better vehicle control and more fun while driving. The talk will include an overview of our main high performance vehicle development and initial results of time series prediction models specific to the track at Nürburgring.
